Fire damages 6 Boulder Creek Apartments in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE COUNTY – (WSPA) Six apartments were damaged, but no injuries were reported in an early morning fire in Greenville.

The fire started just before 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at Boulder Creek Apartments off Furman Hall Road.

The Parker Fire Department chief says three apartments were destroyed by the fire that had huge flames and smoke shooting through the roof of the building.

The chief says the building had no sprinklers and one firewall on the end.

He said crews had to put the flames out quickly to keep the fire from spreading through an attic shared throughout the building.

All the tenants of the apartments got out and are safe, but the Red Cross help 23 people who are now out of their homes, Wednesday.

Fire investigators say candles caused the fire. They called the fire an “unfortunate accident.”
