Fort Bragg officers looking for National Guard member accused of trying to steal weapons


FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fort Bragg law enforcement officials are asking for help finding a man accused of trying to steal weapons, a release said.

Cameron Reese Bray, 23, was caught in the process of trying to steal M4 rifles from Fort Bragg, officials said. He then ran away into the woods.

Bray was last seen on the western end of Fort Bragg near the intersection of King and Connecticut roads, and is believed to be headed toward his hometown of Greensboro.

The National Guard said Bray is with the North Carolina Army National Guard’s 732nd Forward Support Company. The unity was at Fort Bragg for annual training. 

Bray has a criminal history, the release said. Anyone that sees him is instructed to call 911 immediately.
