Four Drive Alums To Start In All-Star Game

Red Sox outfielders Jackie Bradley, Jr. and Mookie Betts, Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts, and Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo, each also a one-time Greenville Drive player, were elected as starters for next Tuesday’s Major League All-Star Game.

Bradley, also a former USC star, had an MLB-leading 29-game hitting streak earlier this season while Bogaerts hit in 25 straight.

All four players have hit close to or above .300 this season and Rizzo is among the National League home run and RBI leaders.
