COLUMBIA (WSPA) – At least they kept it in the family.
A self-described frequent lottery player from Shelby, North Carolina says her daughter – who never plays the game – just won $250,000.
The mother and daughter bought tickets at a 7-Eleven on Highway 29 in Blacksburg.
They started scratching off game tickets when the daughter realized she won $250,000 playing Elegant Cash according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
“It makes me so mad,” said the mom to lottery officials. With a smile.
The odds of winning that much money in the game is one in 660,000. Lottery officials say one top prize of $250,000 remains in the $10 Elegant Cash game.
