GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA)- A Gaffney man is charged with assault after police say he threatened another man and stabbed him in the head.
Gaffney police arrested 33-year-old Kevin Dean Davis Monday after finding a man bleeding profusely.
Police say they were called to a stabbing around 9:30 Monday night on Willow Street in Gaffney.
According to the police report, when they got there they found a man sitting in a chair on the sidewalk, holding pressure to his head and bleeding.
He told police that Davis pulled up in his vehicle, got out and said a couple times, “I’m going to f*** you up”.
The man said Davis then pulled a knife and kept walking towards him. According to the report, the victim tried to throw a beer bottle at Davis, then swung a walking stick at Davis’s legs.
The victim said at that point, Davis swung the knife, stabbing him in the head. He started to bleed and ran into the house to call 911.
Police say Davis fled the scene. They later found him at his house, along with a bloody shirt and a knife, which was missing a razor blade.
Police arrested Davis and charged him with assault and battery high and aggravated.
