GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Greenville police said Main and Broad streets closed Tuesday night following a gas leak.
Donnie Porter, a spokesman for Greenville Police Department, said officers received a call about a construction worker hitting a gas line near the corner of Main and Broad streets. Police were notified around 9 p.m.
Porter said along with police, Greenville Fire Department and Piedmont Natural Gas responded to the scene.
Some vehicles parked near the gas leak couldn’t be moved.
Around 11 p.m., it appeared the gas leak was over.
