Giving back after Hurricane Florence

News

(WSPA) — There are ways you can give to hurricane victims and know your donation is reaching those in need.

The S.C. Emergency Management Division said the One SC fund is a safe way to donate to hurricane victims. The Central Carolina Community Foundation and Team SC are working with partners and non- profit organizations that partner to care for survivors.

Some affiliated partners include the Red Cross, United Way, Harvest Hope Food Bank and many more.

If you would rather help Upstate charities, one organization aiding people is Miracle Hill Ministries. The mission is looking to replenish their resources after they served nearly 300 people across four locations in the Upstate during the storm.

Organizers with Miracle Hill Ministries said they mostly sheltered homeless from the storm but are running low on supplies to be able to provide during the winter months at their cold weather shelters.
