Greenville students invited to shop for free at prom boutique

Greenville, S.C. (WSPA) – With prom season right around the corner, every teenage girl is in need of a beautiful dress.

For some, it’s harder to afford one than others. That’s where the Cinderella Project comes in.

On Saturday, the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division hosted its 16th annual Cinderella Project boutique at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Greenville.

Thanks to donations from people in the community, students from all over the Upstate were able to shop for dresses, jewelry and shoes at no cost.

The event received a record number of donations this year, collecting around 900 dresses plus dozens of shoes and accessories.

The Cinderella Project boutique is open to all students in the area until noon on Saturday. The only thing students need to get in is a student ID.

The boutique is located at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 7 Shannon Drive in Greenville.
