GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA) – Make-A-Wish South Carolina is looking for your help to raise money to make dreams come true for critically ill children.
AJ Elliot was only 9 years old when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
After months of chemotherapy and radiation, AJ began to feel better and Make-A-Wish was able to grant one of his wishes, sending his family to Disney World.
The Elliots said the trip was such an incredible experience and beneficial to the healing process that they decided to help grant wishes to other children.
The family helped create the Nashville Songwriters Benefit. The community can enjoy an evening of songwriters play and tell stories about how they wrote popular country music songs.
This year, AJ and his family said they’re looking to make a change to the benefit and invite singer and songwriter Edwin McCain to play along with Ashland Craft and the Jake Bartley Band.
