GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA)- Greenwood’s Westside neighborhood is getting a face lift thanks to Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s.

The Westside neighborhood in Greenwood will receive much-needed repairs from Lowe’s Hereos volunteers.

Greenwood Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s Heroes volunteers will repair homes, install signs and even improve a community center.

It’s all made possible with a $70,000 grant from Lowe’s and Greenwood is one of 19 communities nationwide to receive the grant.

This community is the only one in the state to receive the grant.

The improvements will happen all day Tuesday and serve to help improve quality of life for people in the Westside neighborhood.

The day will kick off at Macedonia Baptist Church at 8 am.
