Greer police serve donors to Fallen Officers Memorial Fund

GREER, S.C. (WSPA) — Greer Police Department hosted its first Fallen Officers Memorial Fund Pancake Dinner on Tuesday evening.

Officers and staff served up meals at Eggs Up Grill to raise donations for the Fallen Officers Memorial Fund. 

Greer police say the department has donated $21,000 since the fund was established. Gallagher’s Army Fallen Officer Fund has matched the amount for a total of $42,000.

Families of Spartanburg Police Officer Jason Harris, Greenville Police Officer Allen Jacobs, Anderson County Deputy Devin Hodges, Laurens County Deputy Roger Rice Jr. and S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper D. Keith Rebman have received donations from the fund.

Greer Police Department also holds an annual charity softball tournament to raise money for the Upstate Fallen Officers Fund. This year’s tournament will be held Aug. 25 and 26 at Century Park in Greer.
