SIMPSONVILLE (WSPA) – Hannah Thompson – a missing teenager who police believe has been with an accused killer for several weeks – has been found.

U.S. Marshals tell 7 News, Thompson has been found in Oregon, but are not revealing any other details beyond they are working to reunite her with her family.

The marshals do tell us they continue to search for John Blauvelt.

The estranged husband of Catherine Blauvelt was charged in her murder in Simpsonville in late October. Thompson was believed to have been with John Blauvelt and was known to be his girlfriend according to Simpsonville Police Chief Steve Moore.

Catherine was found dead in a home at 817 Southeast Main Street in Simpsonville on October 26. Arrest warrants state a knife was used to kill her.

Police announced John Blauvelt’s last known location was at the Las Cruces, NM border on November 15.

Simpsonville Police have charged a second man with murder who was already in jail on another charge. Charles Sidney Scott, Junior, 31, is charged with murder.

Both men are also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Scott is being held without bond.
