Headmaster of WNC school indicted on embezzling charges

A former headmaster of Trinity Christian School in Rutherfordton, North Carolina has been indicted on 68 counts.

Police say that Tiffany Walker was misusing the school credit card and wrote more than 60 checks to herself at just under $500 each. In total, police believe Walker took more than $100,000 at this point.

The irregularities were first noticed during a deep audit for the school’s reaccreditation. The school let Walker go in January and a police investigation was launced.

Police have been working with Walker’s lawyer and expect her to turn herself in tomorrow.

Trinity Christian says they have put new protection policies in place to prevent this from happening again.
