Help Asheville police find missing woman

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a woman who went missing more than a week ago.

Asheville Police Department said Leigh Anna Stewart was last seen on March 10 in East Asheville. 

Police say Stewart could be headed to the areas of Rutherfordton, N.C. or Chesnee, S.C.

The 36-year-old woman is 5 feet 5 inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police say Stewart was wearing a tan, long knit sweater, jeans, and black/pink Nike tennis shoes. She carries a small, rose gold pocketbook. 

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Asheville Police Department at 8280252-1110 or Asheville-Buncombe Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050, if they wish to remain anonymous.
