Help deputies find armed bank robbery suspect in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Anderson County Sheriff’s Office officials are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery of a bank in Piedmont.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, the robbery happened Friday around 4:50 p.m. at First Community Bank, 11000 Anderson Road.

The man — dressed in all black clothing with his face covered up — went inside the bank armed with a handgun and demanded money.

The man then reportedly left the bank with an undisclosed amount money.

According to the release, the man was described as being 6-foot to 6-foot-2 inches tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds.

Sheriff’s office officials said dye packs exploded on the man as he ran out of the bank.
