Help deputies find suspects in business burglary, theft in Oconee Co.

OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. are asking for the public’s help in an investigation into two separate burglaries and thefts that happened at an area business.

According to a news release, deputies responded to Dixie Aluminum on Aug. 4 and Aug. 20 in regards to two separate incidents.

On Aug. 4, deputies discovered the someone had made entry into the business and copper wiring was taken on Aug. 3.

On Aug. 20, deputies learned that someone went into the business and took metal from inside the building. No timeline was given in regards to the second incident.

According to the release, the metal taken was several pieces of 1-inch square aluminum tubing around 8-feet in length, multiple boxes of sheet metal screws and several boxes of rivets, weighing around 75 pounds each.

Two boxes fo carriage bolts were also taken.

An investigation into both burglaries is ongoing at this time.
