News

LAURENS Co., SC (WSPA) – The Laurens Co. Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to find a man they say ran from Illinois with a baby, then ran and left the baby alone when deputies tried to serve a court order.

Deputies say they responded to a home on Neptune Drive in Waterloo to serve a court order from Illinois on Nov. 16.

The court order directed them to take custody of a baby.

Agencies in Illinois said it appeared Daniel Tietsort ran from the state with the baby after the order was obtained.

They tracked him to the home on Neptune Dr, and the sheriff’s office became involved.

Laurens Co. Deputies says they got to the home and Teitsort ran, leaving the infant child in the home alone.

Deputies took the baby into emergency protective custody and called DSS.

Teitsort is wanted for Unlawful Conduct Toward a Minor Child, according to the sheriff’s office.

If you know where he may be, contact the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-984-4967 or Crime Stoppers at 864-68-Crime.
