GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) — Police say a suspect left behind more than shattered glass when he broke into an Upstate courthouse.
Greenville Police Department says the suspect left blood on the broken windows. Now they’re asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.
Police say the Greenville County Courthouse was broken into around 3 a.m. Monday, June 4.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect smash a window with his elbow before breaking into the building.
Investigators collected the blood as evidence. The department said in a Facebook post that “blood is one of the most compelling kinds of evidence investigators can use to link a suspect to a crime.”
Nothing was reportedly stolen.
The department released images of the suspect Tuesday on social media accounts.
Police say the suspect may have an injury.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME (864-232-7463).
