Help ID person of interest in Ingles water damage in Brevard

BREVARD, NC (WSPA) – Brevard Police are asking for your help to identify a person of interest after water damaged the Ingles.

Police it happened Tuesday night around 10:30 p.m.

A customer went to an employee and said there was water coming from the ceiling.

This morning Ingles discovered there were 7 rough cut holes in the roof.

They were around 10″ x 20″ and appeared to be intended to drain the water into the store.

Ingles couldn’t open because of the damage, according to police.

Police have released an image of a person of interest that was in Ingles last night and left under suspicious circumstances.

Police want to talk to the person to find out what he knows.

Police say he has what appears to be a distinct tattoo on his right back calf.
