Help ID suspect in armed robbery spree in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville Police are asking for your help to identify an armed robbery suspect.

Police say the 7 robberies happened at convenience stores between Nov. 28 and Jan. 2.

The latest happened last night around 10:44 p.m. at the BP at 880 Patton Ave.

Asheville Police say they are working with Woodfin Police to investigate a similar incident during the same time frame.

The suspect is a man between 6’0″ and 6’1″ with a slender build.

In the majority of the incidents he is wearing a dark mask, a dark colored Nike sweatshirt and either a red or gray pair of Nike tennis shoes.

He had a dark colored handgun in each incident, according to police.
