Help police find missing 13-year-old girl in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville Police Department officers are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 13-year-old girl.

According to a police department news release, police are searching for Lyla Conklin.

Conklin was last seen Thursday morning at a home in the 100 block of Victoria Road in Asheville.

Police said she was wearing a red hoodie with the Owen Middle School logo on it, black leggings and black tennis shoes.

Conklin is described as being 5-foot-7 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.

Police said Conklin was possibly trying to travel to a family member’s home in Hickory, NC.

Anyone with information on Conklin’s whereabouts is asked to call Asheville Police at 828-252-1110 or Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050.
