Help police ID attempted armed robbery suspect in Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Hendersonville Police Department officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect in an attempted armed robbery at a gas station on Sunday.

According to a news release, officers were called to Sunoco, located at 104 Sugarloaf Road, at around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Police said the suspect went into the gas station, pulled out a handgun and told the clerk to give him money.

The suspect reportedly fired one shot before leaving the gas station.

No injuries were reported and the suspect did not leave with any money.

According to the release, the suspect is described as having a medium build and shoulder-length brown hair and a beard.

He was reportedly wearing dark glasses, a back hoodie, blue jeans and light-colored tennis shoes.
