It’s time for high school RedZone kick off and this week Christine Scarpelli and Photographer Ryan Goodman are at Daniel High.
Tonight the Lions at Daniel take on the Razorbacks from Walhalla.

7 News Pete Yanity said Daniel is off to best start since 2014 at 6-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 1-4A
Tonight’s game is bigger for Walhalla as a win keeps them in the race for the region title.  If Daniel wins, they’d still need to beat BHP.
He said Daniel has won 13 straight in the series against Walhalla.  The last Razorbacks win over a Daniel team was 1980, but they’ve not me regularly since then, particularly from the early ’90s until now.
Daniel’s QB is Ty Venables, son of Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables.  Over the years, many Clemson coaches have had sons play for the Daniel team, including Dabo Swinney, who’s two sons graduated over the past two years.

Head coach Jeff Fruster is a Daniel alum and played on teams that won or contended for state titles in the ’90s.
