WOODRUFF, SC (WSPA) – Woodruff Fire Department officials said a home was destroyed in a fire on West Georgia Road Wednesday morning.
According to fire officials, the fire started around 8:45 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Georgia Road.
When firefighters arrived on-scene, there were flames coming through the roof and heavy fire was showing on the left side of the house.
Firefighters battled the fire until around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and left the scene around 1 p.m.
No injuries were reported and no one was home at the time of the fire.
Fire officials said the home was destroyed and said the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Spartanburg Fire Marshal.
