Home invasion in Iva, possible shots fired, suspects at large


IVA, SC (WSPA) – A home invasion was reported in the 1100 block of Sexton Gin Rd., according to a report from the Anderson Co. Sheriff’s Office.

The homeowners said two suspects entered their home around 8:30 a.m. and possibly fired shots.

The homeowners say they were in bed when they heard the dog bark and their front door was forced open.

They say two men wearing all black came in and yelled at them to get down on the ground.

One of the homeowners closed the bedroom door and laid on the ground with a gun. The other owner hid in the bathroom and called 911.

They say they heard two shots fired in the home and then the suspects left.

The homeowners say nothing was talked from the home.

Police saw security camera footage of a man wearing all blacking running down the stair and around the house.

No one was hurt and the suspects are still at large.

Deputies don’t have anyone in custody and no suspects right now.
