The weekend kicks off the 51 st annual Festival of Flowers in Greenwood, SC.
The Festival also marks the 150 Anniversary of the Park Seed Company and more than ten years since the beginning of the topiary displays.
The topiaries are characters shaped with wire frames, stuffed with flowers and watered with an irrigation system in the inside.
There are 44 total topiaries according to the City of Greenwood organizers but about 42 of them are on display. New this year is a Citadel bulldog, a stork, and others.

There will also be 4th of July festivals in Ninety Six and Ware Shoals, and “Into the Woods” showcases at the Greenwood Community Theatre.
