Hub City Empty Bowls will again raise funds to feed those in need.
The community fundraiser in Spartanburg has set a goal to make 1,000 bowls each year.
Anyone can make and decorate a pottery bowl for free, then professionals will glaze and fire the bowls.
The bowls made will be sold on Soup Day on Sept. 29.
Bowls are sold for $20 each, with all money going to Total Ministries, an organization helping those in need throughout Spartanburg County.
Last year, Hub City Empty Bowls raised $33,500.
There are three bowl-making sessions this summer:
Saturday, June 16 at Spartanburg Art Museum, Chapman Cultural Center
10 a.m. – Noon and 1-3 p.m.
Saturday, July 7 at West Main Artists’ Co-op
