GREENVILLE CO., SC (WSPA) – Hundreds of volunteers were out Saturday morning to plant trees in several neighborhoods and parks in the Upstate.

160 trees were planted in four neighborhoods: Sans Souci, Alta Vista North, Alta Vista South, and Carlyle Pointe, and two parks: Victor Park and East Riverside Park.

The annual ReLEAF event is being hosted by TreesUpstate, recently renamed from TreesGreenville, a nonprofit which has planted more than 6,000 trees in and around Greenville County since 2005.

Sponsors, supporters and over 360 volunteers were invited to a celebration after the plantings were completed.
