Hundreds without power in Spartanburg County


SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — More than 1,000 Duke Energy customers were without power Tuesday morning in Spartanburg County. The utility company reported outages across the county amid dangerously cold temperatures. About 440 customers have been without power since 7:45 a.m. Tuesday in Spartanburg around Wofford Street. Duke Energy spokesman Ryan Mosier said it appears a line is down in the area and crews are on their way. 

Outages were also reported near Inman and in the Moore area.

Around noon Tuesday, Duke Energy was showing 736 outages with electricity expected to be restored by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
