A couple found shot to death in their Gaffney home was the result of a murder-suicide, according to the Cherokee County Coroner.

The couple was found dead in their home on Covered Bridge Road, Thursday.

Coroner Dennis Fowler said an autopsy showed that 71-year-old Ronald Gallman shot his wife, 68-year-old Linda Gallman, before shooting himself at their home.

Fowler said he believed the incident happened Wednesday between 5 p.m. and midnight.

Their bodies were discovered by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office when they were dispatched to the house for a welfare check, Thursday evening.
