FAIR PLAY, SC (WSPA) – A portion of Interstate 85 in Fair Play that was closed Tuesday morning due to two crashes, has been reopened.
The crashes reportedly happened on I-85 northbound at mile marker 3. The road was reported to be blocked to traffic and a detour was put in place directly following the crash.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Hovis, the first crash involved a truck pulling a trailer.
Hovis said the truck ran off the left side of the road and hit a median barrier.
According to Hovis, a tractor trailer then hit the trailer attached to the truck.
Hovis said a person in the truck had minor injuries.
According to Hovis, I-85 has since reopened.
