SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — School officials say law enforcement is investigating a potential threat at Cowpens Middle School.
Spartanburg School District 3 spokesperson Aly Myles said the school received a call Friday morning from a person who identified two students as potential threats.
School officials, Cowpens police and Spartanburg County deputies immediately launched an investigation.
Administrators pulled both students from the car line before they entered the school, according to Myles.
She said officers and K9s are searching the premises.
“All students are safe and CMS is continuing a regular schedule today,” Myles said.
