Juvenile and teen arrested in murder of Gaffney girl

GAFFNEY, SC (WSPA) – Gaffney Police Department officials said two teens have been charged in the murder of 8-year-old Kamryn Bradley back in 2017.

During a news conference Thursday afternoon, Gaffney police said a 16-year-old juvenile was charged with murder and 18-year-old Greyson Ellis Hughey was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony.

Spartanburg County deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested the 16-year-old in Spartanburg Thursday morning around 10 a.m.

Hughey was arrested by Gaffney Police detectives Thursday morning around 7:30 a.m.

An investigation into this case is ongoing at this time and the chief said more charges are possible.

We reported earlier that Bradley was inside the apartment when multiple shots came through the window.

The coroner’s office said the child was hit by a bullet that came through the window as she sat on the sofa.

She was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
