K-9 finds meth during traffic stop, 2 arrested, say Marion Police

MARION, NC (WSPA) – Two people were arrested after a K-9 found meth during a traffic stop, according to Marion Police Dept.

It happened near NC 226 South on Oct. 17 around 11:56 p.m.

The officer stopped a car after they determined Aaron Wright, the driver, was driving on a revoked driver’s license and had an active warrant for his arrest.

During the stop, K-9 Marsoc found narcotics inside the vehicle.

Officers say they found 3.09 grams of Meth and $837 in cash.

They arrested Wright and Danielle Eldreth, according to the report.

They are charged with the following:

Aaron Wayne Wright, 37 of Black Mountain is charged with Failure to Appear warrant, Driving While License Revoked, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Vehicle to sell a controlled substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Possession with Intent to Maintain Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine. Bond $76,500.

Danielle La-Rae Eldreth, 26 of Old Fort (passenger) is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Maintain Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond $60,500.
