Missing 3-year-old FOUND SAFE in Laurens Co.

LAURENS CO., SC (WSPA) – A missing three-year-old boy has been found safe after going missing for nine hours in Laurens County, Saturday.

Deputies say Elijah Henderson went missing from Coleman Road near Clinton.

Elijah was last seen at approximately 10:30 a.m. wearing a red shirt, pull-up diaper, and flip flops, deputies said.

12 search teams with over 100 people were helping look for the missing boy who was found shortly before 7:30pm.

Crews from Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, Laurens County EMS, Clinton Police Department, Laurens County Fire Service, Hickory Tavern Fire Department, Gray Court Fire Department, Sandy Springs Fire Department, and SLED assisted in the search.

Crews searched an area of over three square miles throughout the day.

Family members tell 7 News that Henderson was found near a creek around 50 yards from where he went missing.

They say he is in good condition but is being taken to the hospital to be checked out.
