LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA-TV)- A Laurens man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to child sex crimes, according to the Eighth Circuit Solicitor David M. Stumbo.

Timothy Earl Beheler, 50, pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The judge sentenced Beheler to 15 years in prison.

The solicitor’s office says Beheler has been in prison for nearly three years since he was first arrested on the charges, which were to be called for trial Tuesday.

Investigators say between February 2012 and February 2013, Beheler sexually assaulted a 13-year-old victim on numerous occasions.

Beheler also gave the victim money and marijuana after the assaults.
