UPDATE: The Pickens County Coroner’s Office said the victim took their own life.
PICKENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Pickens County Sheriff’s Office officials, the Pickens County Coroner and several other agencies responded to a scene at a boat ramp on Lake Hartwell Tuesday morning.
According to a news release, the sheriff’s office received the call about a vehicle being submerged into the lake at around 9:30 a.m.
Sheriff Rick Clark said the vehicle was at the Twin Lakes boat ramp in the Clemson area.
The sheriff’s office, as well as the coroner’s office, Special Operations dive team members, Pickens County EMS, Clemson University Fire Department, as well as other support teams responded to the scene.
The coroner’s office said the victim took their own life.
Clark said no other information is available at this time.
