SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg County Firefighters and Deputy K9 units received life saving pet resuscitation kits Thursday.
The kits were presented at the Spartanburg County Fire Chiefs Association Meeting.
The Spartanburg Kennel Club donated 61 units to first responders.
Each unit has 3 masks – all different sizes – so any sized animal can be resuscitated.
Spartanburg Kennel Club hosts dog shows and puts the money they make toward community efforts like this.
Each unit costs about $100 and includes a seven foot oxygen tube, masks, and carrying case.
The Spartanburg Kennel Club is looking for other counties interested in receiving masks.
Henderson County has already used the masks to save lives.
