Local businesses embrace Spring Fling festival in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – The 41st Spring Fling is underway in downtown Spartanburg.

This year, local, small businesses are making their presence known during the festival, which some say wasn’t always the case.

Sugar, spice and everything nice can be found at the Spice and Tea Exchange in downtown Spartanburg.

They hope to use Spring Fling to show shoppers something new.

“Well, we haven’t been here a year yet, and so we are hoping that people who come down just for Spring Fling, and might not come downtown shopping very oftern, will get to see that we are here and what we have to offer,” Lily Kincaide said.

Local business owners tell us the festival’s location brings more people and money to their doorstep.

“We’ve had a lot of people very surprised that we are here and that we are doing well, and the community has embraced us,” Kincaide said.
