GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Police say one person suffered minor injuries in an armed robbery Thursday evening in Greenville’s Haywood Mall.
The robbery happened at the bathrooms inside the food court of the mall around 6 p.m., police said. Police tell us that the victim later came outside where officers found that he had injuries to his head.
“At that point he was given medical attention,” PIO for the Greenville Police Department, Sgt. Jonathan Bragg said. “It was described that two black males presented a handgun and assaulted him with a handgun while in the bathroom and took property from him.”
No shots were fired according to police.
When fleeing the scene, the suspects discarded their coats, which police have seized.
The Greenville Police Department is investigating the robbery.
