2 shot at Carolina Pride plant in Greenwood, suspect in custody

GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA) – A suspect is in custody after two people were shot Thursday night at the Carolina Pride plant in Greenwood.

Greenwood Police say the shooting happened in the cafeteria of the plant on Packer Avenue.

Investigators said an argument broke out between the suspect and another employee. Police said the suspect pulled out a gun and fired several times.

Two employees were hit by gunfire. Both victims had injuries to their legs which were not life threatening, police said.

The suspect, 30-year-old Rodriquze Greene of Greenwood, has been arrested and charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, according to Greenwood Police.

Greene was taken into custody shortly after 5:00pm Friday. A bond hearing was scheduled for Saturday morning.
