UPSTATE (5/9/2022) – A 3-year-old child, Lucas David Love, of Anderson, drowned Saturday in Laurens County, according to the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.

The autopsy results said the cause of death was accidental drowning, the coroner’s office said.


LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A 3-year-old child possibly drowned Saturday in Laurens County, according to the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office said they responded to Laurens County Emergency Room in reference to a child possible drowning.

When EMS arrived at a residence in Mountville, they took the child to the hospital where he later died, according to the coroner’s office.

The coroner’s office identified the child as 3-year-old Lucas David Love of Anderson. An autopsy will be scheduled for Monday morning to determine the cause of death.

This is the first possible drowning of this year for the office, according to the coroner’ office.
