WOODRUFF, S.C. (WSPA) – Two people robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon in Woodruff.

The robbery happened around 2:15 p.m. at an Arthur State Bank on Laurens Road near Fairview Avenue.

Woodruff Police said two men walked into the bank and gave the teller a note asking for all of the money. The men were wearing hooded sweatshirts and face masks.

The two men then walked out of the bank toward a nearby car wash where they are believed to have gotten into a waiting vehicle.

The Woodruff Police Department and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office set up a perimeter around the bank but were unable to locate the two men.

Police said they were able to gather possible evidence from the bank and their investigation is ongoing.
