SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – A car crashed into a restaurant Wednesday evening in Spartanburg.
The Spartanburg Police Department said the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Kanpai Tokyo located at 2300 Winchester Place.
Officers said the driver was attempting to hit her brakes in the Burger King parking lot nearby the restaurant but hit her accelerator instead.
When the driver hit the accelerator, the car hit the rear of the building.
The driver was not seriously injured, police said.
The crash is being investigated by the Spartanburg Police Department.
