GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A pedestrian died Tuesday night in a crash in Greenville County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:38 p.m. at Augusta Road near Stratford Road.
Troopers said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when they were hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling north.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian as 67-year-old Willie Elledge.
An external examination revealed that Elledge died from multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of the death has been ruled as accidental.
The crash is under investigation by the SCHP.
