SLED investigating ‘suspicious’ death at home on W. Main St. in Union

UNION, SC (WSPA) – The Union Public Safety Department and the Union County Coroner’s Office responded to a home Thursday evening after a man’s body was found inside of his home.

Officers responded at about 7:33 p.m. to the home in the 400 block of West Main Street, according to the incident report.

Police said two people went to the home to cut the lawn and found Terrence Laval Hall, 47, of Union, was dead on his living room floor.

Officer’s spoke with Hall’s mother who said she saw his about a week ago. She also told officers that she told Hall she had a plate of food for him, but he never came to pick it up. Police said neighbors told officers they saw Hall a couple of days ago.

According to the incident report, Hall did not have any visible injuries. However, the police department said his death is suspicious.

The coroner’s office said an autopsy has been scheduled at Newberry Pathology Group.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was called to the scene.
