ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man was arrested following a deadly shooting Saturday night in Anderson County.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened on Woodmont Circle following a fight between Matthew Richey and another person.
Deputies said Richey shot the person during the altercation.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
Richey was cooperative and turned himself in after the incident according to the sheriff’s office.
He was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
