Suspect in custody after incident at Spartanburg Co. gas station

SPARTANBURG CO., SC (WSPA) – A man is in custody after the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said he called in a shooting in order to fight deputies.

The sheriff’s office said the man was reportedly high on methamphetamine when he made the call from the BP gas station on New Cut Road near Interstate 26 around 8:30pm.

According to deputies, the man was tased and taken to the hospital.

No word yet on any possible charges in the case.
