GREENVILLE CO., SC (WSPA) – Deputies in Greenville County say they have stopped searching for a murder suspect inside Paris Mountain State Park.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, park rangers closed the park while roughly 100 deputies looked for 49-year-old Ryan Kedar.

Deputies said they found Kedar’s vehicle along the side of South Buckhorn Road around 10:30 p.m. Friday after a resident spotted a suspicious vehicle.

The sheriff’s office searched the park Friday night and then resumed their search Saturday morning.

Kedar is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 58-year-old Mark Jermon of Taylors, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jermon was found shot to death at Herdklotz Park on Beverly Road around 10:30am Wednesday.

Deputies continue to urge residents and people in the community to call 911 if they see him or have information regarding his whereabouts.
