PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A driver died Wednesday morning in a single-car crash in Pickens County.
The crash happened on Simms School Road near Mill Pine Road just after 9 p.m., according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a car was headed northbound on Simms School Road when it went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, and overturned.
The driver died at the scene of the crash.
The victim was identified as 59-year-old David Smith of Greenville.
